Minority Rules!!

Does anyone else see how tragic it is that less than 25% of eligible voters determine the path of our government.
Some may ask how this is possible. I submit that in the past general election we had the unusually high turn out of over 44% of registered electors. If you look at many issues and candidates, very few won by more than 60% of the cast votes. 60 % of 44% is 26%. Talk about the ruling minority. We have it and have been suffering under its influence for the past decade or longer.
Politicians realize they only have to serve the minority voters that will continue the current status of government, because the "Silent Majority" , (sorry it is proven by statistics) will seldom get involved. The secret of the Tea Party Movement is that it focuses on that minority.

VOTE Yes on Issue 2

There has been a great deal of publicity oer State Issue 2 in Ohio. The OEA is spending millions of dollars on scare tactic commercials against it. I know because I am one of 130,000+ members of OEA that were force to pay an extra $52. each to pay for those commercials. That's a cool $6.5 MILLION. And yes we were forced to pay. OEA operates as a closed union shop. Currently if you want a job as a teacher or support staff in most districts, you must join the union. Issue one will return freedom of choice to employees.
I'm a good teacher, so I'm not afraid of merit evaluations.
I am a retired Police Officer.  I was an officer before public servants were allowed collective bargaining rights at all, and we did okay. This issue doesn't take away all collective bargaining rights as the unions would have you believe. What it does do, is make it possible to limit the growth of government without voter approval.
Ohio Education Association uses dues money to help fund three LIBERAL   Political Action Groups.
They are afraid this will hurt that PAC support.  GREAT!!, I hope it does
PLEASE< for the sake of freedom and limited taxation, vote yes on Issue 2.

DEBT "REDUCTION"???

We are hearing lots of debate over so called reducing the deficit. My comment is that both sides are trying to treat the voters like mushrooms. You know the old saying. Don't give them and light and feed them lots of  natural fertilizer (****).
Maybe the problem is that our political "representatives" don't understand basic math.
My point is, that we are currently budgetting over ONE TRILLION = >$1,000,000,000,000.00, PER YEAR of debt increase.
Washington is arguing over whether to cut 4 or 6 TRILLION $$$$ over the next 12 or 10 years, from the budget.
WAKE UP !!!!!! That amounts to reducing spending by 300 to 500 BILLION per year. That is still spending more than the take in, and OBAMA needs to raise taxes in order to keep the deficit spending lower.
I understand the basics. If I MAX out my credit card, I don't reduce my debt by having the limit increased and then continue spending, on credit less each month. I must stop spending on credit and start reducing the balances.
Is there any hope for our government. WE MUST BE MORE RADICAL IN 2012 THAN WE WERE IN 2010. Watch voting records and vote out any encumbunts that don't seriously try to cut spending. That doesn't mean to just limit increases in spending, IT MEANS CUT!!!!
